About Nicole Hunn

Hi, I’m Nicole. I create gluten free recipes that really work and taste as good as you remember. No more making separate meals when someone is GF, or buying packaged foods that aren’t good enough to justify the price. At Gluten Free on a Shoestring, “good, for gluten free” just isn’t good enough!

Hi Nicole! I made this for my daughter’s 2nd birthday, and it was a huge hit! I made three 6in layers. I couldn’t find any of your suggested GF flour blends, but a store brand did the trick.

The frosting is easily the best chocolate frosting I’ve ever tasted. Luckily, I have plenty leftover. Do you think I could freeze it? I don’t want to waste any since it is just that good!

You can usually freeze frosting, yes, Kristi. I haven’t tried freezing this particular frosting, but you usually can as long as wrap it tightly to prevent freezer burn. And if you don’t mind, please give the cake a star rating. That really helps communicate to other readers that you loved it!
