Gluten free biscuits are a style of pastry, made almost exclusively with different combinations of dry ingredients (gluten free flour, baking powder, salt) whisked together, with cold chunks of butter added (always kept cold!), and finally buttermilk. The result is a light, flaky, sometimes layered pastry that’s mostly savory, but sometimes a little sweet as a treat.
Whether they’re mixed, scooped and baked drop biscuits like our gluten free cheese biscuits or they’re made from laminated dough that’s been rolled and folded, then rolled and folded again to make layers upon flaky layers, biscuits are almost always the perfect side to any meal.
