Gluten Free On A Shoestring

for Chinese New Year 

1. Add the GF flour blend, instant yeast, sugar, and baking powder to a bowl. Whisk to combine well.

2. Add the salt, oil, milk, and mix/knead well. 

3. Transfer to a proofing bucket and let rise.

4. Divide and shape into rounds. 

5. Fill and place in  steamer basket. 

6. Let rise, then steam, and  serve warm.

– Gluten free bread flour – Instant yeast – Granulated sugar – Baking powder – Kosher salt – Neutral oil  – Warm milk – Ginger – Tamari or gluten free soy sauce plus more for serving – Granulated sugar – Mirin rice cooking wine – Toasted sesame oil – Black pepper – Lean ground pork chicken or beef – Shredded cabbage with shredded carrots – Chopped scallions
