Disclosures
Blogging is way more expensive than you’d imagine. Here’s how I try to offset some of my blogging expenses.
Sponsors and Opinions
Any company to which I refer as a “sponsor” has provided financial consideration to have some form of advertisement on the site. When I present an opinion about a sponsor, however, the opinion is my own. And I mean it. When you support my sponsors, you support me. Full stop. The more successful their sponsorship of me is, the more likely they are to renew. And every little bit helps. Thank you.
My Integrity
I regularly refuse requests from potential advertisers or sponsors when I do not believe that the product or service would provide an excellent value to my readers. That’s important.
Affiliate Links
I participate in Amazon.com’s affiliate program. That means that, when you click on a link in my Amazon Shop, or any other Amazon link on my blog (including the few graphic ads on the site that are titled “Shoestring Savings” and the “Order Now” under the graphic of my cookbook), Amazon pays me a fee that is a small percentage of whatever you buy (even if it isn’t the item that you clicked on my site). When there is a hyperlink from the name of a recommended product to Amazon.com, you should assume it is an affiliate link. It isn’t always (because I don’t always remember to create the affiliate link), but you should assume, without more, that it is.
Love,
Me
