Book Corrections

The following is a list of corrections for Gluten-Free on a Shoestring: 125 Easy Recipes for Eating Well on the Cheap. Some printings of the book contain a few errors or omissions. If you have a later printing of the book, these changes may have already been made. Please also note that corrected versions of the book pages are available via PDF upon request.

  • Page 42 (Savory Olive Oil Crust): The second sentence under Step 1 should read: “Pour in the olive oil and white vinegar, and stir with a fork to combine.”
  • Page 63 (Black Bean Hummus): The recipe should call for 1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste).
  • Page 82 (Berry Scones): In Step 4, after the dough comes together, add the berries to the dough and gently fold them in until they are evenly distributed throughout.
  • Page 84 (Coffee Cake): In Step 2, after beating well after each addition, next, add the sour cream and stir to combine.
  • Page 86 (Banana Pancake Muffins): The recipe should call for 1 1/2 cups milk, not 1/2 cup milk.
  • Page 153 (Apple-Leek Sausage Corn Bread Stuffing Dinner): In Step 5, after combining the eggs and milk in a separate small bowl and whisking together, add the chicken stock and mix to combine.
